Water Skiing
On a perfectly straight road, in the heart of the French plains and beneath the smoking plume of a nuclear power plant, an unreal scene unfolds: a woman in a swimsuit is water skiing on asphalt. Towed by a vintage convertible and accompanied by a motorcyclist, she smiles wide, seemingly impervious to the speed, the emptiness, and the impossible.
Dingo, true to his offbeat vision of reality, creates a work that lies at the intersection of advertising, social satire, and daydreams. The asphalt becomes water, the road transforms into a wave. The heroine, standing on her skis, carves a trail that is perfectly illogical, etched in the tar as if it were the sea.
Though hilarious and lighthearted in appearance, the scene also questions our relationship with speed, artifice, and the conquest of public space. The choice of location—Nogent-le-Rotrou, a peaceful town—adds a layer of gentle irony: here, in a rural setting, sweet madness becomes possible.
The composition evokes American postcards from the 1960s, reimagined through European absurdity. Perfect vanishing lines, long shadows, and intentionally saturated colors create a visual tension between fantasy and deception. Yet, everything is real. The print is mounted on a 2 mm Dibond panel and placed in the frame.
The depth of the floating frame is 4 cm, and the gap between the photograph and the inner edges of the frame is 0.8 cm for black or white finishes and 1 cm for wood finishes (Oak, Wenge, etc.). This arrangement creates a visually pleasing “floating” effect. Finally, a hanging system is attached to the back of the frame for a quick, easy, and secure installation.

The print is laminated onto a 2 mm Dibond sheet and mounted in the floating frame to give it visual depth.
The Fine Art print is placed on neutral cardboard, then covered with a 7 cm beveled white mat and anti-reflective, UV-resistant museum glass, before being framed in black aluminum or wood (black, white, oak or wenge).
