Thunderstorm in Trinidad del Mar

The photo depicts a dramatic scene of a violent storm on the Caribbean Sea, seen from Trinidad del Mar, on Cuba‘s southern coast.The upper two-thirds of the picture are dominated by dark, threatening clouds, heavy with rain, which almost seem to touch the sea.In the center of the photo, several impressive waterspouts descend from the clouds towards the ocean, creating a visual connection between the sky and the turbulent sea.In the middle of the photo, a spectacular flash of lightning splits the sky, briefly illuminating the scene with an intense, ephemeral glow.Beneath the clouds, to the left of the waterspouts, the light is cold and gray, accentuating the dark, stormy nature of this part of the sky.To the right of the waterspouts, on the other hand, the light is warmer, perhaps capturing the last rays of sunlight struggling to break through the thick clouds, adding a touch of contrast and warmth to the image.The sea is calm as the storm moves out to sea.This photo captures not only the raw power of nature, but also the beauty and complexity of the tropical atmosphere during a storm.

Pigment inkjet print on Fine Art paper, supplied with Hahnemühle certificate of authenticity.
The print is laminated onto a 2 mm Dibond sheet and mounted in the floating frame to give it visual depth.
The Fine Art print is placed on neutral cardboard, then covered with a 7 cm beveled white mat and anti-reflective, UV-resistant museum glass, before being framed in black aluminum or wood (black, white, oak or wenge).
