The blower
A woman, focused, checks the pressure of her tires. She is bent over the wheel of a yellow Porsche, headphones on, seemingly impervious to her surroundings. In the background, a municipal maintenance worker appears to be playing his leaf blower like an electric guitar, looking delighted as his machine sends a shower of leaves flying… and, in the process, lifts the driver’s skirt.
Captured in a split second, the scene rests on a finely balanced mix of visual comedy and social satire. Dingo, master of the absurd moment, orchestrates an autumnal ballet where each element—the bright color of the car, the floating leaves, the gardener’s rock’n’roll attitude, the driver’s indifference—helps build a theatrical and delightfully offbeat tableau.
The image plays with the codes of slapstick comedy, while evoking gender clichés: the sports car, the laughing man, the woman in a skirt, the “unfortunate” accident. Pigment inkjet print on Fine Art paper, supplied with Hahnemühle certificate of authenticity.
The print is laminated onto a 2 mm Dibond sheet and mounted in the floating frame to give it visual depth.
The Fine Art print is placed on neutral cardboard, then covered with a 7 cm beveled white mat and anti-reflective, UV-resistant museum glass, before being framed in black aluminum or wood (black, white, oak or wenge).
