In this monochrome scene, the contrasts are striking: the escalator steps in darkness, creating deep, mysterious shadows, while the exit is bathed in bright light, forming a luminous halo at the upper end of the image. The escalator steps line up evenly, creating a sense of upward movement, while the geometric lines of the handrails add structure and symmetry to the composition.The exit itself is like a beacon in the darkness, offering a promise of escape into daylight.The light filtering through the opening creates delicate shades of gray, adding depth to the scene and underscoring the hope and optimism represented by the passage to the outside.This black-and-white photo intensely captures the contrast between darkness and light, shadow and clarity, evoking a sense of transition and constant movement in the urban environment.

Pigment inkjet print on Fine Art paper, supplied with Hahnemühle certificate of authenticity.
The print is laminated onto a 2 mm Dibond sheet and mounted in the floating frame to give it visual depth.
The Fine Art print is placed on neutral cardboard, then covered with a 7 cm beveled white mat and anti-reflective, UV-resistant museum glass, before being framed in black aluminum or wood (black, white, oak or wenge).
