2007 – On the main road from Ladakh to Zanskar, Himalayas, India
At the top of a mountain pass a stupa, a Buddhist or Jainmonument Buddhist or Jain monument, symbol of spirituality and peace, which may contain relics of Buddha or saints. Prayer flags or wind horses, attached to ropes, carry sacred mantras. According to Tibetan Buddhists, the blowing wind, caressing the printed sacred formulas as it passes, scatters them in space, transmitting them to the gods and to all those it touches in its path. The scene is frozen in time, capturing the moment when visitors and locals alike shouted “ki ki so so lha gyal lo”, a victory cry dedicated to the gods, amplifying their spiritual connection with the grandiose landscape around them. In the background, a truck can be seen on the road, which is mainly used by the military.

Pigment inkjet print on Fine Art paper, supplied with Hahnemühle certificate of authenticity.
The print is laminated onto a 2 mm Dibond sheet and mounted in the floating frame to give it visual depth.
The Fine Art print is placed on neutral cardboard, then covered with a 7 cm beveled white mat and anti-reflective, UV-resistant museum glass, before being framed in black aluminum or wood (black, white, oak or wenge).
