This Polaroid presents the Basilique du Sacré-Coeur atop the Montmartre hill in Paris, with an artistic approach that transforms what might seem a banal, even incomplete snapshot into a deeply expressive work. The partially missing image plays on absence and mystery, encouraging the viewer to mentally complete this iconic monument. By chemically altering the texture and chroma of the image, André transforms the nature of his Polaroids, giving them a unique character. These alterations reinterpret the original image, recomposing it and giving it a singular new emotional depth: the beauty of imperfection.

The print is mounted on a 2 mm Dibond panel and placed in the frame.
The depth of the floating frame is 4 cm, and the gap between the photograph and the inner edges of the frame is 0.8 cm for black or white finishes and 1 cm for wood finishes (Oak, Wenge, etc.). This arrangement creates a visually pleasing “floating” effect. Finally, a hanging system is attached to the back of the frame for a quick, easy, and secure installation.

Pigment inkjet print on Fine Art paper, supplied with Hahnemühle certificate of authenticity.
The print is laminated onto a 2 mm Dibond sheet and mounted in the floating frame to give it visual depth.
The Fine Art print is placed on neutral cardboard, then covered with a 7 cm beveled white mat and anti-reflective, UV-resistant museum glass, before being framed in black aluminum or wood (black, white, oak or wenge).
