2017 – Dunes of Merzouga, Morocco
The majesty and solitude of a Moroccan desert landscape with poignant simplicity. The image, in almost monochrome color, evokes both the vastness of the desert and the introspective solitude of a solitary traveler. At the center of the composition is the ridge of a sand dune, barely visible in the soft light of dusk or dawn. On this ridge, a man walks with his back to the sand, his silhouette elegantly silhouetted against the vast expanse of the desert. Dressed in traditional garb, he advances with slow, measured steps, accentuating the feeling of solitude and contemplation. His upright, determined posture suggests a personal quest or a moment of reflection, as he makes his way through this immense, silent environment. The man is placed at the center of the ridge, his footprint in the sand emphasizing his path through this virgin space. The absence of any further detail on the figure reinforces the impression of solitude, making him an almost abstract element in this grandiose landscape.

Pigment inkjet print on Fine Art paper, supplied with Hahnemühle certificate of authenticity.
The print is laminated onto a 2 mm Dibond sheet and mounted in the floating frame to give it visual depth.
The Fine Art print is placed on neutral cardboard, then covered with a 7 cm beveled white mat and anti-reflective, UV-resistant museum glass, before being framed in black aluminum or wood (black, white, oak or wenge).
