LAX Airport

1965 – Los Angeles, California, USA

This photograph, taken in 1965 at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), captures an iconic era of commercial aviation and post-war modernist optimism. At the center of the image, the bold Jet Age terminal, designed by architect Eero Saarinen, embodies the futuristic and organic design of the 1960s, with its flowing lines and distinctive concrete structure.

The composition and natural tones recall the style of renowned photographer Stephen Shore, known for capturing everyday American life with meticulous documentary precision.

The activity in front of the terminal reflects the typical hustle and bustle of the time: shiny chrome cars, such as a Mercury Monterey and a Ford Galaxie, wait in an orderly line, while Greyhound buses evoke the collective transportation of the era. In the background, a classic yellow taxi adds a touch of vibrancy to the scene.

From the private collection of André Robé, this photograph captures a transitional moment in the history of aviation and urban design—an era when air travel was both prestigious and visionary.

Floating Frame

The floating frame, sleek and modern, is one of the preferred framing choices for contemporary art galleries and museums.

The floating frame perfectly enhances your photographic print.

The spacing between the frame and the image creates a floating effect and highlights the image, making it an ideal art frame to maximize the depth and elegance of the artworks in our collection.

The print is mounted on a 2 mm Dibond panel and placed in the frame.

The depth of the floating frame is 4 cm, and the gap between the photograph and the inner edges of the frame is 0.8 cm for black or white finishes and 1 cm for wood finishes (Oak, Wenge, etc.). This arrangement creates a visually pleasing “floating” effect. Finally, a hanging system is attached to the back of the frame for a quick, easy, and secure installation.

Frame with mat

This classic framing combines timeless elegance and sophistication, offering a sublime presentation for your most precious artworks and photographs. A wooden or aluminum frame, chosen for its simplicity and nobility, adds a touch of authenticity and refinement to your piece.

The mat, an essential element of this ensemble, enhances the artwork by creating a visual space around it. It highlights the details and nuances while adding extra depth. Carefully selected, it perfectly complements the artwork without overwhelming it, allowing every detail to stand out.

Finally, the museum glass, of exceptional quality, provides optimal protection against harmful elements such as dust, humidity, and UV rays. With its unmatched clarity and anti-reflective properties, it ensures perfect visibility from every angle, allowing your artwork to shine without distractions.

This harmonious ensemble transforms each piece into a masterpiece, ready to be admired and preserved for generations to come. Investing in a classic frame means choosing to enhance and protect what you cherish with unparalleled distinction.
