At the temple of the goddess Thien Hau in Saigon, incense burns slowly, enveloping the atmosphere in a mystical, solemn aura.
Considered a sacred link between the visible human world and the spiritual realm of earth, sky and gods, incense is offered in homage to ancestors and deities.
At the heart of this traditional Vietnamese practice, the offering of incense on altars takes on profound significance.
Whether on sacred days of the lunar calendar, death anniversaries or traditional Tet, the incense stick remains an indispensable element.
It symbolizes much more than a simple object: it’s a sacred link that unites each Vietnamese family with its ancestors and deities.

Pigment inkjet print on Fine Art paper, supplied with Hahnemühle certificate of authenticity.
The print is laminated onto a 2 mm Dibond sheet and mounted in the floating frame to give it visual depth.
The Fine Art print is placed on neutral cardboard, then covered with a 7 cm beveled white mat and anti-reflective, UV-resistant museum glass, before being framed in black aluminum or wood (black, white, oak or wenge).
