Electric and electrifying

2017

This photograph by Dingo captures an unexpected and cheerfully absurd scene on a small country road, where the ordinary is tinged with surprising elegance. Under a heavy sky and amidst lush green fields, tall, high-voltage electricity pylons rise up, requiring emergency intervention. Two electricians, dressed in their work clothes, dedicate themselves to their task, one climbing the metal structure, the other observing from below, ready to help. What transforms this routine maintenance scene into a surreal tableau is the service vehicle used by these workers: a blue Porsche Turbo, shiny and luxurious, far from the conventional image of professional utility vehicles. The details add to the visual comedy: the open hood reveals a trunk full of tools, cables and miscellaneous equipment, while work signs stand awkwardly around the car, as if to justify the improbability of the situation. The car itself, stained with mud, nevertheless retains all its presence, as if it had been diverted from its natural circuit to find itself in the middle of a construction site. Produced for Sport Auto magazine, this photograph of Dingo was a real source of discussion at the editorial office. It broke with codes by showing a Porsche as a service car and associating this great luxury and sports brand with electricity, at a time when the idea that Porsche could one day manufacture electric vehicles seemed unthinkable. This audacity has always been the signature of Dingo, a no-holds-barred artist who dares to shake up conventions and feed the eye and heart of his audience. Dingo got the idea for this staging from a conversation with real EDF repairmen, who complained about having service vehicles with small engines. This work is a playful celebration of incongruity, where the elegance of the Porsche merges with the functional simplicity of everyday work. It questions, amuses and captures attention, leaving us to imagine the unlikely stories behind this singular alliance of industry and automotive prestige. It’s an invitation to see beauty and humor where we least expect them, and to appreciate the charm of a moment frozen in a reinvented reality, where luxury and everyday life meet in a way that’s as unexpected as it is inspiring.

Floating Frame

The floating frame, sleek and modern, is one of the preferred framing choices for contemporary art galleries and museums.

The floating frame perfectly enhances your photographic print.

The spacing between the frame and the image creates a floating effect and highlights the image, making it an ideal art frame to maximize the depth and elegance of the artworks in our collection.

The print is mounted on a 2 mm Dibond panel and placed in the frame.

The depth of the floating frame is 4 cm, and the gap between the photograph and the inner edges of the frame is 0.8 cm for black or white finishes and 1 cm for wood finishes (Oak, Wenge, etc.). This arrangement creates a visually pleasing “floating” effect. Finally, a hanging system is attached to the back of the frame for a quick, easy, and secure installation.

Frame with mat

This classic framing combines timeless elegance and sophistication, offering a sublime presentation for your most precious artworks and photographs. A wooden or aluminum frame, chosen for its simplicity and nobility, adds a touch of authenticity and refinement to your piece.

The mat, an essential element of this ensemble, enhances the artwork by creating a visual space around it. It highlights the details and nuances while adding extra depth. Carefully selected, it perfectly complements the artwork without overwhelming it, allowing every detail to stand out.

Finally, the museum glass, of exceptional quality, provides optimal protection against harmful elements such as dust, humidity, and UV rays. With its unmatched clarity and anti-reflective properties, it ensures perfect visibility from every angle, allowing your artwork to shine without distractions.

This harmonious ensemble transforms each piece into a masterpiece, ready to be admired and preserved for generations to come. Investing in a classic frame means choosing to enhance and protect what you cherish with unparalleled distinction.
