At first, I stood stunned before these astonishing pink granite rocks, four hundred meters high, strange, tortured, bent, gnawed by time, bloody under the last fires of twilight and taking all shapes like a fantastic people from fairy tales, petrified by some supernatural power. I alternated between two standing monks of gigantic stature; a seated bishop, crozier in hand, mitre on his head; prodigious figures, a lion crouching at the side of the road, a woman nursing her child and a huge, horned, grimacing devil’s head, undoubtedly the guardian of this crowd imprisoned in bodies of stone. Pigment inkjet print on Fine Art paper, supplied with Hahnemühle certificate of authenticity.
The print is laminated onto a 2 mm Dibond sheet and mounted in the floating frame to give it visual depth.
The Fine Art print is placed on neutral cardboard, then covered with a 7 cm beveled white mat and anti-reflective, UV-resistant museum glass, before being framed in black aluminum or wood (black, white, oak or wenge).
