This photograph by Dingo transports us into a surreal lunar universe, combining space exploration with an unlikely scene of earthly escape. On the gray, arid surface of the Moon, an astronaut has just landed on the moon, his module visible in the background, and is walking with a bemused expression towards an American car stuck in the lunar regolith. The image, on the borderline between science fiction and the absurd, immediately captures our attention with its mix of incongruous elements. Aboard an American convertible, a small green man – the perfect cliché of the extraterrestrial – tenderly embraces a blond female model, recreating a strangely human scene of affection in the heart of space immensity.I n the back seat, a male dummy, gagged and bound, completes this disconcerting tableau, evoking both a burlesque hostage situation and a galactic love triangle. The absurdity of the situation is accentuated by the car’s chrome sheen, reflecting the glorious past of a 50s automobile, now stranded on foreign, hostile soil. The inspiration for this work came from the creation in 1997 of the European vehicle assessment program (Euro NCAP), designed to carry out crash tests to evaluate automobile safety. Through this image, Dingo wanted to illustrate the idea that safety is now a concern everywhere, even in the most unlikely of contexts. The choice of the Moon as the backdrop for an improbable accident reminds us that the quest for safety is a never-ending adventure, even beyond terrestrial borders. Dingo shows us that car safety, often perceived as a strictly technical field, can also become an artistic subject, transforming endurance tests into a visual exploration of our world and those that, perhaps, await us beyond. The work is a perfect illustration of Goofy’s unique style, which blends humor and reflection in a bold visual universe.By placing an unlikely road safety scene on the lunar surface, he explores the boundaries between the serious and the absurd, between advanced technology and everyday situations.

The different types of frames and finishes available
The print comes with its certificate of authenticity and a Hahnemühle hologram affixed to the back.
The framing is left to your discretion.
The floating frame, sleek and modern, is one of the preferred framing choices for contemporary art galleries and museums.
The floating frame perfectly enhances your photographic print.
The spacing between the frame and the image creates a floating effect and highlights the image, making it an ideal art frame to maximize the depth and elegance of the artworks in our collection.
The print is mounted on a 2 mm Dibond panel and placed in the frame.
The depth of the floating frame is 4 cm, and the gap between the photograph and the inner edges of the frame is 0.8 cm for black or white finishes and 1 cm for wood finishes (Oak, Wenge, etc.). This arrangement creates a visually pleasing “floating” effect. Finally, a hanging system is attached to the back of the frame for a quick, easy, and secure installation.
This classic framing combines timeless elegance and sophistication, offering a sublime presentation for your most precious artworks and photographs. A wooden or aluminum frame, chosen for its simplicity and nobility, adds a touch of authenticity and refinement to your piece.
The mat, an essential element of this ensemble, enhances the artwork by creating a visual space around it. It highlights the details and nuances while adding extra depth. Carefully selected, it perfectly complements the artwork without overwhelming it, allowing every detail to stand out.
Finally, the museum glass, of exceptional quality, provides optimal protection against harmful elements such as dust, humidity, and UV rays. With its unmatched clarity and anti-reflective properties, it ensures perfect visibility from every angle, allowing your artwork to shine without distractions.
This harmonious ensemble transforms each piece into a masterpiece, ready to be admired and preserved for generations to come. Investing in a classic frame means choosing to enhance and protect what you cherish with unparalleled distinction.
