April Fool

  • Photographer: ©
1990 – France

Under a sky of asphalt and tender humor, Dingo presents an image that is as absurd as it is touching, a blend of caricature, wink, and poetic manifesto on mechanical passion. The man smiles, proud, standing in front of his Suzuki GSX-R, clad in leather, helmet under his arm. But one detail changes everything: the motorcycle is fitted with training wheels… and a small wooden ladder is provided to climb onto it.

This deliberately improbable scene was conceived as an April Fool’s joke for Option Auto magazine. True to his playful spirit, Dingo has the training wheels custom-made for the occasion. The result: hundreds of readers write to the magazine, eager to know where they can get this “miracle kit.” The joke becomes legendary.

But beyond the humor, the image strikes a deeper chord. It speaks to childlike desire, an unbroken fascination with powerful machines, and the passion that often begins in the aisles of a toy store. The world of motorcycles is brought back to its purest essence here: a dream to climb the ladder, a serious game, a playground for all ages.

Floating Frame

The floating frame, sleek and modern, is one of the preferred framing choices for contemporary art galleries and museums.

The floating frame perfectly enhances your photographic print.

The spacing between the frame and the image creates a floating effect and highlights the image, making it an ideal art frame to maximize the depth and elegance of the artworks in our collection.

The print is mounted on a 2 mm Dibond panel and placed in the frame.

The depth of the floating frame is 4 cm, and the gap between the photograph and the inner edges of the frame is 0.8 cm for black or white finishes and 1 cm for wood finishes (Oak, Wenge, etc.). This arrangement creates a visually pleasing “floating” effect. Finally, a hanging system is attached to the back of the frame for a quick, easy, and secure installation.

Frame with mat

This classic framing combines timeless elegance and sophistication, offering a sublime presentation for your most precious artworks and photographs. A wooden or aluminum frame, chosen for its simplicity and nobility, adds a touch of authenticity and refinement to your piece.

The mat, an essential element of this ensemble, enhances the artwork by creating a visual space around it. It highlights the details and nuances while adding extra depth. Carefully selected, it perfectly complements the artwork without overwhelming it, allowing every detail to stand out.

Finally, the museum glass, of exceptional quality, provides optimal protection against harmful elements such as dust, humidity, and UV rays. With its unmatched clarity and anti-reflective properties, it ensures perfect visibility from every angle, allowing your artwork to shine without distractions.

This harmonious ensemble transforms each piece into a masterpiece, ready to be admired and preserved for generations to come. Investing in a classic frame means choosing to enhance and protect what you cherish with unparalleled distinction.
