Yves Langlois

Yves Langlois, photographer and visual artist, originally from the windy coast of Normandy in France, was swept up in a whirlwind that led him to Paris, where he studied for three years at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique.

Although he took part in many theatrical performances, his true passion for photography eventually led him to devote himself entirely to this art form.

A specialist in photographing objets d’art for famous galleries, museums and collections, he is also renowned for his portraits of actors. His insatiable curiosity has led him to travel to major urban metropolises as well as to the most remote regions of the globe.

These journeys have given rise to an intimate Asia, revealed through portraits of souls and landscapes that transcend mere reportage.

Particularly attached to the Himalayas, he considers this region his spiritual home, where he reunites with his adopted family.
Yves’ photography, imbued with humanity and humility, bears witness to varied human conditions, offering a mirror of our own lives.
These works exude a sense of serenity, peace and harmony, whether in portraits, landscapes or moving skies. Yves has embarked on a new poetic adventure, manipulating the real and the unreal in his photographs. He revisits and deepens his images, exploring the boundary between reality and the imaginary, an approach that reveals his extrovert and daring personality.

Over the past thirty years, his rigor, creativity and exacting eye have earned him an international reputation.
