Dominique Leroy, Formula 1 Photographer and Creator of Visual Emotions

Dominique Leroy spent over 30 years as a motorsport photographer, traveling to circuits around the world, capturing the intensity of races and immortalizing legends such as Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost, Michael Schumacher, and Lewis Hamilton.
His sharp eye and instinct for the decisive moment earned him international recognition. Present at Ayrton Senna’s tragic accident in Imola in 1994, he chose never to publish those images, out of respect for the driver.
After a fast-paced career between paddocks and podiums, he broadened his horizons to explore cultures and traditions across the globe.

His documentary work took him from African tribes to the South American steppes, capturing the essence of peoples and their rituals. He directed several acclaimed films, including Return to the City of Joy with Dominique Lapierre.

An explorer-artist, he does not limit himself to photography. Rust becomes a source of inspiration, which he enhances through his pictorial work. He also works with Raku ceramics, playing with the elements to create unique pieces. His approach — blending motion, light, and material — reflects an endless artistic quest.
