André Robé

After a short career in the world of finance, he launched into retouching with the advent of digital photography, first joining one of the first specialized studios in Paris and then a professional photo lab (DUPON).

At the same time, he developed his personal photographic work. Now a freelance graphic designer, he continues his creative research into his favorite themes: urban landscapes, cinema and soccer.

His favorite media are Holga, Polaroid SX 70 and 600, for which he develops alternative techniques by working on altering the film’s texture and chromatic rendering. He has been collecting vernacular slides from the 50s/60s/70s for some thirty years, and these have been the subject of exhibitions and publications.

In 2023, he joined the prestigious “Compagnie des Snapshoters”, a group of collectors of anonymous photographs, which devoted a publication to him the same year for his work with Polaroid.

Latest publication: “Le Paris des photographes anonymes“, PARIGRAMME Editions
