The port of Arlan, built at the end of the 19th century, is nestled in the south of the island of Ouessant. Although a promising harbor, it has proved impracticable in heavy weather and has therefore been little used over the years.In the photo, the sea is surprisingly calm, its tranquil waters in stark contrast to the cloud-laden sky . This apparent tranquility masks the tumultuous history of this port, where nature has often dictated the course.
