Nostalgia from my childhood, leaving the Gare St Lazare by steam train, a work imbued with nostalgia and vintage charm, marked by a distinctive artistic technique. A steam train leaves the Gare Saint-Lazare, its thick wisps of steam rising and dispersing in the air, creating a misty, slightly mysterious atmosphere. The station walls are black, accentuating the contrast with the white steam. The composition uses a mix of color and black & white, with a custom filter that gives the whole the appearance of an engraving or drawing. Details are finely accentuated, giving the photo a rich texture and artistic depth. Two people stand on a bridge overlooking the tracks, watching the train depart for Normandy. Their presence adds a human dimension to the scene, reinforcing the theme of nostalgia and remembrance.

The depth of the floating frame is 4 cm, and the gap between the photograph and the inner edges of the frame is 0.8 cm for black or white finishes and 1 cm for wood finishes (Oak, Wenge, etc.). This arrangement creates a visually pleasing “floating” effect. Finally, a hanging system is attached to the back of the frame for a quick, easy, and secure installation.

Pigment inkjet print on Fine Art paper, supplied with Hahnemühle certificate of authenticity.
The print is laminated onto a 2 mm Dibond sheet and mounted in the floating frame to give it visual depth.
The Fine Art print is placed on neutral cardboard, then covered with a 7 cm beveled white mat and anti-reflective, UV-resistant museum glass, before being framed in black aluminum or wood (black, white, oak or wenge).
