Calvary

2022 – Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, Manche, France

A photograph that transcends the limits of reality to become a pictorial work of art, thanks to a customized filter that gives it the appearance of a classic painting. This maritime scene, imbued with serenity and symbolism, offers a visual meditation on the encounter between nature, humanity and spirituality. At the heart of the composition is a straight dike along the seashore, acting as a boundary between the terrestrial world and the aquatic element. The dike seems to blend harmoniously into the seascape. The details of the seawall are treated with painterly gentleness, offering an impression of depth and continuity that enriches the overall scene. A few passers-by, depicted with an impressionistic touch, move along the seawall, their silhouettes lost in the sea mist, adding a touch of life and human activity to this peaceful composition. On the right, closing the picture with an imposing presence, stands a calvary, dominated by its immense Christian cross. This sacred figure, rendered in shades of gray and deep black, stands out with visual power against the maritime background. The cross, a symbol of protection and guidance for fishermen, is captured in soft light, highlighting its majestic stature and central role in the landscape. The sea, behind the seawall, unfolds with infinite tranquility, captured through a range of gray hues that blend into a soft, reflective surface. The sea horizon, blurred and slightly faded, adds subtle depth and creates a poetic contrast with the sharpness of the calvary and sea wall.

Floating Frame

The floating frame, sleek and modern, is one of the preferred framing choices for contemporary art galleries and museums.

The floating frame perfectly enhances your photographic print.

The spacing between the frame and the image creates a floating effect and highlights the image, making it an ideal art frame to maximize the depth and elegance of the artworks in our collection.

The print is mounted on a 2 mm Dibond panel and placed in the frame.

The depth of the floating frame is 4 cm, and the gap between the photograph and the inner edges of the frame is 0.8 cm for black or white finishes and 1 cm for wood finishes (Oak, Wenge, etc.). This arrangement creates a visually pleasing “floating” effect. Finally, a hanging system is attached to the back of the frame for a quick, easy, and secure installation.

Frame with mat

This classic framing combines timeless elegance and sophistication, offering a sublime presentation for your most precious artworks and photographs. A wooden or aluminum frame, chosen for its simplicity and nobility, adds a touch of authenticity and refinement to your piece.

The mat, an essential element of this ensemble, enhances the artwork by creating a visual space around it. It highlights the details and nuances while adding extra depth. Carefully selected, it perfectly complements the artwork without overwhelming it, allowing every detail to stand out.

Finally, the museum glass, of exceptional quality, provides optimal protection against harmful elements such as dust, humidity, and UV rays. With its unmatched clarity and anti-reflective properties, it ensures perfect visibility from every angle, allowing your artwork to shine without distractions.

This harmonious ensemble transforms each piece into a masterpiece, ready to be admired and preserved for generations to come. Investing in a classic frame means choosing to enhance and protect what you cherish with unparalleled distinction.
