The concrete version of the Bezon Bridge dates back to the 1950s. Under the arch of the bridge, the calm water of the river perfectly reflects the structure, creating an almost hypnotic symmetry.The perfect symmetry of the structure offers a striking aesthetic, but it’s the political context that gives this photo added depth.It evokes the tragic memory of the October 17, 1961 massacre in Paris, when peaceful demonstrations by Algerians were violently suppressed by French police.The photo, charged with symbolism, recalls the struggle for independence and the injustices suffered by the demonstrators on that day.Through this image, we can feel both the austere beauty of the architecture and the heaviness of the political history.It’s an invitation to reflect on past events and contemplate their impact on contemporary society.

Pigment inkjet print on Fine Art paper, supplied with Hahnemühle certificate of authenticity.
The print is laminated onto a 2 mm Dibond sheet and mounted in the floating frame to give it visual depth.
The Fine Art print is placed on neutral cardboard, then covered with a 7 cm beveled white mat and anti-reflective, UV-resistant museum glass, before being framed in black aluminum or wood (black, white, oak or wenge).
